| Overall , KLAVA teams performed quite well and
there were much improvement over our previous years' results. As for |
| the
FTAA / Pacestters Road Relay where our men's team, KLAVA 'A' finished 5th
compared to previous year's 4th, this |
| was
due to a change of age grouping.
Instead of the normal 40 years & above for men's veteran as in
previous years, |
| it
was 35 years and above. Obviously, the
co-organiser has made this rule change to their advantage. |
| Aside
from these team events, a numbers of our KLAVA road runners have also won
Podium finishes in the local road |
| races
for individuals and some track & field events as well. |
| Most
of the KLAVA runners are also members of Pacesetters Club. Fortunately, the men choose to run for
KLAVA |
| instead
of Pacesetter or other running clubs.
I believe it's the close rapport we have and also the comradeship that
won |
| them
over to represent KLAVA. For all their
efforts & contributions, they should be fairly rewarded as a mark of |
| appreciation
. This will further motivate them to
don honours for KLAVA. |
| The
same cannot be said for some KLAVA top women road runners. Although they are still KLAVA Life members,
they |
| choose
to represent and won for other clubs e.g. Pacesetters. If only we could get them to run for KLAVA
as previously, |
| then
we will gain more good publicity. With
these publicity, the sponsorship will come in naturally and easily. |
| Please
refer to attachment for sample of publicity. |
| In
conclusion, the undersigned wish to thank all KLAVA team members for their
participation and being loyal to KLAVA. |
| We
inspires to improve further in the years to come & also hope that due
recognition be given for what were rightly |
| deserveed. |
| We
have to think of some incentives to reward our atheletes to maintain their
continuous support. |
